Peanut butter and honey on wheat bread! This is comfort food for me, and I’m delighted to find Ara has come around to it as well! The picture behind the lunch is a nursery painting I did for my friend Megan who is having a baby any day now! Megan and I have known each other since high school and I am thrilled for her and her husband that they are blessed with a baby girl! They are also moving out of state this summer for a job and I’m sad to see them go. I hope the painting will remind Megan and her family that she I’m thinking of them and wishing them well!
Now, for a little Mama bragging;
This is a dragon sculpture made by Ara. Can you see it? The red blocks are eyes, green is body, and it’s munching on something! She came up with this use for the blocks all on her own and I think she is so creative! Wonderful girl.
Tonight we are going out for dinner to celebrate Alex’s birthday, and tomorrow my Brother is watching Ara for us so that we can have time for the two of us to celebrate! Maybe a hike and dinner. Alex is an amazing Dad and a thoughtful partner, I hope he knows he’s loved!
