What’s this?! A real non-phone photo?
Bento: Fish nuggets, carrots, oranges, apples, and a few lime slices.
Alex gave me a wonderful Christmas present a little early; it’s a camera! Not just a camera, the camera of my dreams! Not quite an SLR but the perfect blend of size and features and it’s just plain awesome. I love it. I’m so over the moon about it! So I can finally go back to my favorite hobby of making bento, taking pictures, and blogging about it! I have been under the weather (AGAIN!) for the two days since I received my camera but I dragged myself out of bed to make this bento and take pictures on the deck while my patient Ara played in the yard. I probably took 100 photos, of which only a hand full are in focus and useable. I have a lot to learn, but I look forward to it!
Here are a few more shots from today:
I love lime, almost anything tastes better with a squeeze of zesty lime!
A tiny flower that blooms on this purple ground cover that is growing around our yard. It’s pretty but very small. I love that new camera managed to capture the tiny hairs at the flower center. Macro shots are my dream and I can get within 1/4 of an inch of my subject.. the trick is that I have to hold still. That’s a trick indeed. I might need to dig out the tripod.
My main photo subject! I took this inside with the windows spilling sunlight into the room.
If you’re curious, it’s the Canon Powershot SX130 IS!
